Hey all!
i’ve recently moved to Northwestern Nebraska, and am looking around to see if there is whistle life out here!?
Being evacuated from the wildfires this past weekend, i surprised myself by grabbing only the dog, the cat, and my Rose! who knew that would end up ranking on the short list of ‘things to evacuate in a fire’?? (well, really, we all did!)
while i’m here, i also have to send a hearty “I MISS YOU!” to all of my old california whistle friends..

Hi, Zax. I live in Chadron and was evacuated last Friday night. Have you checked www.chadrad.com for fire info and pictures? Glad that most of them are contained now, including that the new fire that started yesterday.
I’m excited to find that someone from my neck of the woods (well, what’s left of the woods) is here at C&F!

yes, i evacuated too! i was glued to chadrad for days! http://zaxy.stumbleupon.com is my ‘blog’-- saturday thru about wednesday was all fire related- lots of pics. have you seen the video yet?

warning- it’s pretty intense. the sirens get me every time.
i almost burst into tears tonight when the fire trucks went blazing toward hay springs… luckily it was just a small brush fire- but it was only six miles out… ergh. i’m not enjoying ‘fire season’… give me hurricanes any day!
btw- you wouldn’t be the person with the WhOA bumper sticker???
i kept walking past that car when i first moved here, thinking.. . “… ??? could it be?? … NAAAAhhh!!!.. ???”
