Hi all, can anyone help me in finding some Irish Sessions in a mp3 format, featuring whistle (obviously). I have only found one or two at present , and I am now starting to wonder whether i am looking in the right places. Thank you to anyone who can help.
See ya Andy
I think you’ll have a tough time finding sessions; the point of a session is being there and playing, so it’s not like they’re recorded, let alone released.
That said, if you want a taste of what a session feels like, the CD “Music at Matt Molloy’s” captures it nicely and has some great playing to boot.

Not ‘sessions’ per se, but some good music to play along with: http://www.mp3.com and find the tin whistle stations.
I’ve put a number of mp3 recordings I’ve made at our local sessions on my website at:

I think you’ll find some good practice material there…
Cheers,
Michael
