Where do I buy a whistle in west Ireland?

I am blessed to be traveling to Ireland this week. I will be primarily visiting around Galway, County Clare and Kerry. Anyone know of a good shop to buy a Clarke D whistle in Ireland? I am an intermediate beginner and have played for about a year. I own an Oak D and a low D whistle made in India, looks like a low D Clarke original. Any suggestions for buying a whistle or two on the Old Sod?

I was in the west of Ireland a few weeks ago and came upon a few music shops. The two I remember are in Roundstone, Co. Galway and Doolin, County Clare. Western Ireland is known for its traditional music, so you should be able to find something.

Powell’s in Galway is the best bet from Dubh’s list, with the widest selection of instruments and music books in Galway. Take note Custy’s will have relocated to Cook’s Lane from May 1st onward. The Trad Mus shop in Doolin (and I don’t mean Magnetic Music) has plenty, Fiddler’s Corner in Ballyvaughan (two doors down from the Tea Junction), lots of places in Kinvarra (especially the fiddlemaker’s at the Quays) . Those aside you’ll find newsagents and supermarkets in villages in some areas selling a few whistles here and there, usually cheaper too. Tourist offices and-shops may have a few too, as a rule those won’t be cheaper.
