Can you play a G transverse flute? It will be louder.
yes I can, but I’d prefer a whistle.
Susato - especially if you go for the high G (VSB.) With that one, earplugs are a must.
They no longer make the large bore lower G, which was fairly loud. The medium bore low G might still have good volume; I know that the A does.
My Burke Low F is decently loud for a lower whistle…I would imagine his G’s would have a decent volume…and good tone! Thin Weasels have great volume…but are really expensive and hard to find.(the also come in low and high G)
I consider my Whistlesmith Low G pretty loud - I play it with an organ and amplified guitar playing with me, though I don’t have much to compare it to.

I’ve got an Abell Low G that’s fairly loud. I wonder if something along the lines of Overtons or Chieftains might not have good volume also.
If you can find one, a Water Weasel low G is terrific.
Yes, mine does have good volume. They do come available now and again.
A Susato will probably be the loudest. If you are looking for something high end I suggest Overton, Chieftian, or Burke. These will be nicer, but probably not as loud.
My high G Susato is VERY loud and the alto moderately loud. I expect an Overton would fit the bill. Just remebered playing a Chieftain G last year THAT was loud!
