I was playing my Mellow Dog (tweaked) with a group today and the poor thing just got swollowed up and lost inside the mess.
What whistles are loud enough to overcome these jams - but don’t sound so sharp and harsh?
Next time I getting out my thin weasel.

To name a few: Thin Weasel (blackwood), Overton, Copeland, and Bleazey.
I can say without any reservation that the loudest whistle I’ve ever come across is the Alba high D. It could probably hold its own against a symphony orchestra playing fortissimo, and I’m not kidding. Definitely not for anyone suffering with ligyrophobia. 
It also takes an enormous amount of breath and may cause unconsciousness with the inexperienced.

Sweet and Copeland are very loud. Many complain that Susatos are too loud.
