The second Sha Nôl, Sha Mlân weekend of Welsh traditional music is upon us. Or it will be, on the last weekend of October in the Tawe Valley, north of Swansea. There will be sessions in pubs in Ystalyfera on the Friday evening and in Ystradgynlais Saturday daytime and evening - see below. Looks like we may have a dance workshop on Saturday. If it’s dry we’ll probably take to the streets and annoy passers-by, too.
So if you’d like to hear, learn, play Welsh tunes and perhaps some songs, you’re more than welcome to come over. There’s a list of some tunes on our website but if you’re interested I can give you a list of some others that will undoubtedly surface wherever I am. If any chiffers are up for it, could probably sort out accomodation for you too - let me know.
I’ve just sorted somewhere for caravans and campers, as I’ve had quite a few inquiries. There’s also budget accomodation available in one of the venues, too.
An update - we’ve pretty much finalised the timetable for ‘Sha Nôl, Sha Mlân’.
