So this morning I bundled to go outside in the frigid cold (Boston has been unusually cold for the last few weeks).. dreading my bike ride to school because I was certain that my lungs would freeze on the way…
so I went down the stairs and as I was unlocking my bike I spied a long box that the postman had apparently just tossed on my porch. It was my new Dixon Low D that I had ordered from the whistle shop… with a squeal of glee I ran back upstairs and busted open the box (scattering styrofoam peanuts everywhere) and pulled out my first low D whistle… yup after 10 weeks of lessons and a year or so of fiddling around on a regular whistle I had decided I would give the low D a go (I know its gonna be a bit difficult- but I have been enjoying this whistle stuff so much)
so I played a note or two, then realizing I was going to be late to work, put it back down on my bed and scampered out the door… and almost froze to my bicycle on my way in (its so cold my gears are like refusing to work properly) So I now have something to look forward to when I get home from work/school today… YEA!
