Water Weasel loose fipple problem

The first half inch or so of a Water Weasel is the fipple, which is a red plastic beveled plug insert held in place by a surrounding cylindrical plastic shroud. On my whistle, the plastic shroud and fipple plug has come loose. It plays fine, but I have to adjust the alignment each time I play.

Any recommendations for fixing this? Should I glue it or leave it alone? What type of glue?

calling or emailing Glenn Schultz directly would in my view result in you receiving the best possible recommendation on how to deal with the problem

I agree-- contact Glenn. He definitely wants people to be happy with his whistles and will steer you right.

Thanks - I did what you said, and got the solution

"…do what i would do: realign parts perfectly and put just a drop of super glue on the bottom of the lip undercut. worx every time. gs "

My favorite whistle - back in business!

Jusst make sure that superglue is completely dry before you play it… I like to take a whistle wherever I go, but having one glued to your lip could be a bit of a problem…
