Waldens 6k !!!!

The learned and reasonable one has hit 6K.

HIP

I believe we were all so enthralled by the photo of his relatives that we missed the post counter

Keep at it Bro.

Slan,
D.

HIP
not bad for a lurker.

HOORAY!!!

That’s a lot of posts. :astonished:

:astonished: :astonished: Congrats Walden. That must have earned a key to the smoking jacket chiffarobe, at least.

..and a decent seat

Slan,
D.

Well earned.

Would that most of us could post that much and actually say something…

Good job, Walden!

(Incidentally, if I stole that pic from anyone on the board, I’m sorry!)

I am humbled before you, Reasonable Person, and forever in your debt for demonstrating the primacy of theory.

Woohoo!!!

Carol

P.S. I think we should be keeping an eye on dubh’s post count, too.

…and the reason behind reasonableness.

Congrats Walden! I almost always learn something from your posts, and that’s something no one will ever be able to say about mine!

That woman on the far right of the 2nd row has a really bad nervous tic…

Very impressive.

And yet, he never gives the impression of having no life outside C&F.

I’m just impressed that he has such an accomplishment while still maintaining uniform nicety.

Congrats, Walden!

The Oklahoma Wranglers would be proud to sing ā€œThe Lone Buckarooā€ for you on this great occasion.

CLICK

Should I click it? I’m sort of afraid.

Oh, no! I clicked it! I clicked it! :boggle:

Pure corn! I hope that wasn’t aimed at Walden! :astonished:

Well done sir. Quality and quantity.

Oh, say, I missed this too. 6,000 posts. What a strange, beautiful, journey it’s been, &c.

Here’s another of my family photos. This is my great great grandparents and their children, in 1905, in the area that was then known as Pryor Creek Station, Indian Territory. They were citizens of the Cherokee Nation, which had not yet been fully incorporated into the United States. The infant in Great Great Grandma’s lap is my great grandmother. She’d marry the great grandfather in the other picture (my avatar, as of this posting, 4th of November), some 20 years later.

Photo link.

This photo is a century old.

This family went on a wagon train of homesteaders for Wyoming, but they changed their mind en route and returned home to their alotments in Oklahoma.

It’s a ā€œRealplayerā€ file. Realplayer sucks. There’s no excuse for sites to continue to use Real files in this day and age.

That said, Contratulations Walden

That’s a reasonable achievement old chap. Congratulations!
