so i was in Vegas the past few days and thought, why not a session here?
I found the Nine Fine Irishmen pub in New York, New York…a fine establishment with a good pint of Guinness (they said they draw the most in North America…go figure!)…but no trad music.
Sure, it’s a pub from a box, but it’s Vegas…it was fun and interesting, but the house band was…uh…well…not for me.
Sigh
There MUST be a place somewhere for tunes and pints in such a town.
i too, was just there for 4 days (work), looking for the same thing !!!
maybe by next year when i need to be there, i’ll have a place to play some ITM?
I was just there for 5 days for our Spring Nationals, and even stayed at the NYNY. I was mightily disappointed in the 9 Fine, they had a folk singer, and neither the hostess nor the waitress had ever even heard of a boxty. ::sigh::
