Stuck in Las Vegas

I’m in Vegas till thursday. Does anyone know about a place, where one might hear some irish music? A session would be great, but one cannot expect too much I guess.

You might try J.C. Wooloughan’s, located at

The Regent Las Vegas
221 N. Rampart Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89145 - 702.869.7725

Quite a long way from the strip, but a very nice place with very good food and the occasional band. I think there may even be a weekly session there, but I’d call first and check.

Cheers,

Michael

If there is a session, could you post here? I’m going to be stuck in Vegas next week with nothing to do (visiting family… it’s not my kind of city at all, but they play slots… sigh… we have reason for going but it’s a long story).

I’m back home in Germany now. Thanks for the tip. I didn’t use it after all by lack of time, but I found a decent alternative, although not quite as perfect as I would have liked it to be, there not being irish music, but at least some real beer, allowing me to get away from the american stuff they try to sell as such. OK, the name of the place is: Crown and Anchor (“British Pub” whatever that may be), situated on Tropicana Boulevard, just asfter Maryland Parkway when coming from the strip, on the left side. They have about 20(?) european beers (from different countries) on draught and several more bottled ones. They even have Beamish, my preferred irish stout, which is rare to find even in Ireland. And I also enjoyed a very tastefull steak and kidney Pie.

btw, I am NOT getting paid for the advertising, nor did I get anything free on site. I just want to help waning europeans who got stuck in Vegas.
