The feast of St. Valentine is drawing nigh, once again. A time when hearts turn to love. I just wanted to wish all the Chiff and Fipplers a chiffy Valentine’s Day.

Same to ya!
What whistles are those, by the way?

Clare.
Seems that a ROSE whistle would be more appropriate on V-Day…
BTW-- does anyone know of another holiday/celebration for Feb 14? This is not a joke or quiz, I’m really curious. Thanks.

Mexico : Day of National Mourning (Vincent Guerrero-1831)
Arizona (1912), Oregon (1859) : Admission Day
Bulgaria : Viticulturists’ Day
Denmark : Gaekkebrev/Fjörtende February-gift exchanges by school children
It is also the feast day of Cyril and Methodius in some Christian communions.
Clare are the only whistles I know that have the label on the head, not on the body.
Thanks for the VC Waldo, I didn’t know you cared! (I did really)
I’d send you some choccies, but I ate them. So instead…

Congrats on 40 years Mack!

My hubby and I are on our 29th this year in August.
Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
Happy Valentine’s Day/week.
For the record, this post is not for attempted self-advancement or for attention…I just want to share it.
The Big 20 for us this June; I think that’s tin or something…Happy Valentines Day to all.
Jessie - I 'd have to drug my cats to get them like that. Nice pic.

Yeah, happy Hallmark Day to everyone.
Thirty years married and I still get in trouble annually because I think this is the world’s silliest holiday (OK, after Grandparents’ Day, anyhow). Don’t get me wrong - I’ve nothing against buying her presents - I just don’t like artificial holidays and the need to purchase dead foliage.
Chattiekathy - are you the same person who posts to the Tuscarawas County genealogy board?
well i love you all ![]()

It’s also my birthday. I used to get many a knowing wink from the postman when he delivered all those cards.
A Bonny bunch of roses to you all.
jbarter - a happy birthday to you. I had a great uncle named Valentine – yep you knew what day he was born on.
Jessie nice pic. If I could post a picture of my cat Clancy, all you would see on the screen, well you wouldn’t see anything on the screen it would be all black, with two golden yellow eyes staring at you.

Nope Chuck, must be another chattiekathy. There seems to be alot of us around. By the way, where is Tuscarawas County?
Kathy
Central Ohio. My wife’s people sorta passed through there on their way to somewhere else. Must not have made too much of an impression. Even though four of six kids were raised and married there, I can’t really find much on them or what/where they finally came to.
Looking back, she does spell hers “chatty…” but I just though I’d ask.
Nice post Walden!
Mack and Joan Congratulations! 40 years! We are working on catching up with you . . . this year will be our 27th.
Ever wonder who your Lord of the Rings Love match is??
