Has anyone here ever heard of Jake Shimabukuro? He’s supposed to be a marvel on the ukelele. If so is there a favorite CD?
I’ve heard of him, but have never heard his music. Check out the following:

Plenty of folks there could answer your question.
I have been having a lot of fun with my new Lanakai tenor uke today. It is very fun since in one day I can play half a dozen chords and keep up with real music. I seem to be drawn to the insturments most people consider toys: whistles, ukes, fretted dulcimers, drums, toy accordion, ocarina, lol.
Well here in the land of the ukulele Jake is a phenom. Around here he is on comercials, in concert, and on TV regularly. I have heard him play live a number of times and he will blow you away! In his shows he plays an amazing mix of stuff from Hawaiian, Jazz, Bach, Pop, Broadway etc.

You also asked about Jake’s CDs. My three favorites are Crosscurrent, Sunday Morning, and his most recent Walking Down Rainhill. The last of these is a Japanese release (he has alot in Japan). You can get most of his stuff on Amazon.
