I have two whistles for sale. The first one is a Michael Grinter High D and the second is a High D made by Mike’s former apprentice Ben Stewart. They are both in excellent, near-new condition. I am sad to have to part with them but it is for purely economic reasons, ie I am now a poor student who needs to buy textbooks etc. For anyone who hasn’t heard of Mike, he is based in Australia and has become a highly sought after flute maker. Last time I heard he wasn’t going to make too many more whistles as his waiting list for flutes is at least a few years. There are many top players playing Mike’s instruments such as Kevin Crawford, Sean Smyth, Ciaran Toursih, Jean Michel Vellion, Sharon Shannon and others. My asking price for each whistle is US$350.00 plus postage.
