I have a Dixon aluminum in C, and it sounds wonderful on almost every note and handles well (at least, well for a fairly untalented person like me). It’s almost perfect…but the high F and G have a maddening buzz. The notes above and below it don’t have the buzz. Should I send this back?
Check that everything is “tight” before you send it back. It sounds to me like there is something a little loose that vibrates at the frequency you mentioned. It’s probably where the tuning slide mates (assuming it is a tuning slide model). If not, the only thing I can think of is the fipple…
