Low D warble(?)

I’ve been working on playing the Susato Low D and notice a “warble” around low G and A. It’s more like a fuzzy-wuzzy than a warble but you get the sound. Could be me being new to Low D but could be the whistle. I corked up (beeswax) the various areas that seemd to be letting air escape thinking that was the cause of the problem - improvements but still there. How say you?

Bill,
I have a low d. I can’t say that I’ve really noticed something like you are describing…Maybe I should listen more carefully…Let me go play mine and listen..I’ll post back later…Bye!

Hey,

Try covering the holes with tape. If the problem is still there, then it’s the whistle. If the poblem is gone, then it’s most likely the way you’re coveriing the holes. Hope you get this problem fixed.

Check inside the whistle on the underside of the blade. Make sure that no plastic from the molding process is overhanging.
