Would anyone have the notation for Travelling Through Blarney (Ag Taisteal Na Blarnan) which appears on Liam O’Flynn’s “The Given Note” CD?

I don’t have that Planxty cd, and I’m not saying you have the cd I’m going to mention, but is that the same Traveling Through Blarney as done on Chieftains 9?
I’ve been looking for the sheet music to this tune for a few months now with no luck. I heard it on the Chieftains CD, and heard Kevin Crawford play it on his Bb Grinter flute in NYC this year. I’ve had a tough time learning it by ear and would be grateful if anyone knows where to get the sheet music. Thanks and Happy New Year.

I wasn’t able to find any sheet music on the web for this tune, so I tried writing out one… Now keep in mind, I don’t have a degree in music theory, and this composition is really the bare bones of how I interpreted the Chieftain’s 9 recording. I’m not saying that how I wrote it is exactly how the Chieftains played it note for note, but I hope that you’ll take it for what it’s worth, and know I was trying to help. =) And as a for-warning, don’t use my composition to learn from, as always you should use your ear, so if you want to play it how the Chieftains did, listen to their recording. These are just the dots, and always, airs in ITM are free of time restriction, so how you lengthen the notes, is up to you of course. (whether it sounds good or not is to be determined… Another reason not to rely on sheet music for ITM… use your ear and listen to how the masters played)
If somebody feels compelled to re-arrange/fix how I did this, knock yourselves out. Obviously I left the bars out 'cause I’m no composer so critics be ware…

Hi Eric-Thanks so much for taking the time to do this for the community. I was having quite a time learning this one by ear, as I’m still learning to get away from the dots. I’m trying though!

I am the opposite. I can sit down and learn by ear by playing along with the CD, but trying to notate stuff is a real chore. This is the 2nd part of the Chieftains’ version, where they play it in G. My timing is a bit wonky, but I believe the note values are correct. It sounds close on Concertina.net</A](http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html">Concertina.net</A)>.
