Can someone translate “Mother and Son” into Gaelic and provide some pronunciation guide for it also.

“Mháthair agus garsún” is how I would have done it. There are lot’s of ways. The “Mathair 's mac” sounds very Scottish to me, maybe I’m just displaying my ignorance of Gaeilge now?

Have to be evil here and confuse you with the Northern version:
Máthair is mac
MWEH-hair iss MAHK
(with a Spanishy “r” on the end of máthair–not rolled like crazy, but at least a little tap with the tongue. If you’re American, trying saying, “mweh-heddis mahk” quickly; the “dd” will give just about the right sound.)
