Today

“But soon we shall die and all memory..
will have left the earth, and we ourselves shall be loved for a while and forgotten. But the love will have been enough; all those impulses of love return to the love that made them. Even memory is not necessary for love. There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning.”

back to the top. Thank you for the words and image.

A beautiful meditation.Peace,mike

Wish I had seen this earlier. Words to remember. Thanks to Tom Dowling for another spectacular picture. How about making some postcards, Tom? Blessings, Gm

Thanks Granny Mouse for your kind words. I really appreciate Dale’s willingness to put up a photo of mine from time to time. Truth be told, a dozen of my photos of lower Manhattan (approximately one non-gruesome shot per month for each of the past 12 months)are on display locally. Some of the feedback has been encouraging. I doubt that I will give up my day job for either a career in Irish Music or photography, but it is always nice to dream. With respect to your suggestion about post cards, I will send a post card sized print (5" X 7") of one of the 12 shots currently on display to the first 25 folks who e-mail me their mailing address.

It is a joy and an honor to be affiliated with this website.

Good work from a good man. Thanks Tom.

Regards, PhilO

Thanks to Dale, Tom, and Thorton!

Beautiful words and picture. Thanks Dale and Tom

Here’s a link to a site that really touched me. It was created on Sept. 11th 2001 by a guy who worked close by the WTC.
