I’ve been a frequent, though silent, visitor to ChiffandFipple.com for some time, but just today saw the photo of you in the mountains of East TN, calling in alien craft with your Burke B flat (no symbols enabled here!). I must say I’m impressed. I have a B flat, and the only thing I’ve managed to call is my teen-aged daughter, and she usually doesn’t seem to be too happy about it. Lately, though, I think I’ve begun to improve–I seem to have ceased making my cats weep when I play…
I’m curious to know if you (and/or any other readers) live in east TN. I do. It’s a lovely place. I’d recommend it.

I l;ive in Upper East Tenn and agree what a beautiful place it is. What picture are you speaking of anyway? Dropme a line and we’ll get the rest of the whistlers in the area together.
I live in north Georgia, but I can walk to south east tennesse in about 5 minutes. Does that count? Hee hee. I can also drive to north carolina in about five minutes. I really do live in the absolute middle of nowhere!
Wow! Another c&f-er from these old hills. I am from S.W. Virginia, right on the Tennessee border. I imagine if we were to all take our whistles out at the same time, we can “home in” and start a session.
Shuckey darn! I used to live on a mountain top overlooking Pigeon Forge…could look out at the sleeping giant..Mt Laconte…very inspiring place to live and I regret the fact it was before my whistle “daze”. So play one for me! Gm
