Hey people I just moved to the East Tn area and am going through whistle withdrawal … anyone know any sessions or groups playing around here?? HELP!!! 
Where in East TN are you? If you can easily get to Asheville, NC (which I doubt, unless you’re really close to the border) there’re several sessions there..
If not, just putting “irish session TN” in google shows some sessions in Nasheville, Knoxville, Bristol, Memphis… but I don’t know where you are in relation to those… Maybe you can narrow the search using your closest big city.
Just where 'bouts in east TN. I’m in SW VA, about 1 hour north of Bristol.
And I just did a search with google, but did not find a session listed in Bristol. 
We (some Naomi’s Fancy members) may be starting a session in Mount Airy, NC, so watch our schedule page if that is within driving distance. It’s 2 hours, 36 minutes from Castlewood, VA according to Mapquest.

If you can remember… shoot me an email or post the Mount Airy session to the board. Another whistle friend of mine, Ken Bloom, and I are about 15 minutes from Mount Airy in Pilot Mountain. It would be interesting to check out.

Hi Rick. We talked about it at the last band practice, but I can’t remember if it will be at the Gertrude Smith
House in Mt. Airy or The Good Life Cafe. Keep checking Naomi’s Fancy Performance Calendar as I put all the band member’s gigs there.
Does Ken Bloom work on el-cheapo anglo concertinas? Craig has started concertina but his button action sucks.
