I know several of you are going to St. Louis but I’m wondering if any other whistlers going to be at Oak Ridge, Tennessee that weekend? If so, let’s figure out how to meet up and introduce ourselves and maybe share some tunes.
Where is Oak Ridge Tennessee and why are you going there? I am going to be in Tennessee (Smoking Mountains area) at the time on vacation with the family.

Oak Ridge, Tennessee is our nations Nuclear Weapons Complex. There will be workshops, music and a nonviolent demonstration to oppose ongoing bomb production and the new 5 billion dollar bomb plant in Oak Ridge. The flyer I have says it will be a "chance to listen, learn, build community, celebrate peace, practice nonviolence, enforce international law, and act for peace.

Oak Ridge is in the north east part of the state. According to my map about 185 miles east of Nashville.

Oak Ridge is close to Knoxville. About 25 miles east and that’s a little over an hour
drive from the Tennessee side of the Smokies which is about 2 1/2 hours from where I live (SUSATO headquarters) and that’s how I know. Despite what goes on in Oak Ridge it has a lot of nice people and is a very clean and friendly place. A bit antiseptic but that’s what you get in a town full of government scientists. Have a good trip and I hope the event is successful.
