Tim Britton Deluxe Half Set for Sale on Ebay

OK. I’m bummin’ heavily. But I’m spending all of my time on the fiddle, and mama says we need the money. So I’m selling my UP. Check 'em out on Ebay. You can even watch video of me playing them (really badly). Maybe that will explain why I’m selling.

Just curious, how come no comments to this post?

Am I a fool to believe that these pipes could be a real bargain?
Or are you guys just waiting for this post to fade away so you can place a last minute bid
and get it for the reserve price + 1$?

Marcus;
You’re no fool, nosiree. Unless the market is completely saturated, and there is nobody out there looking for a set of concert D pipes that will last them the rest of their life . . .
Plus the extras with this auction, the reedmaking supplies and etc are a great bargain.
The only thing foolish about it are the 9 people who bid less than the stated minimum, and expect to win the auction !?! Not the sort of purchase I would leave up to sniping in the last 30 seconds.

It’s worth what the market will bear. A friend of mine bought a used Deluxe 3/4 set (fully re-reeded/checked over) directly from Tim two years ago for around the same amount as this set’s reserve price. Granted this set does have Tim’s deluxe reed-making set ($300? on his site) and it’s two years later.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying the set’s not worth it. I’m a big fan and supporter of Tim’s work. I’m just giving a little price perspective.
