k , nice chanter , ok ok .

I’m a big fan of Britton’s work, though lots of people aren’t. That said.. It looks like this set is going to spike like the Rowsome did. His bellows are probably my favourite, though I haven’t tried the Dow bellows everyone raves about.

I’m kind of surprised to see sets selling for so much in such a poor economy. Maybe I should put one of my sets up

Dionys…I agree wholeheartedly.
I’ve always appreciated Tim’s work. His chanter’s and reeds are especially nice if you like his particular sound (which I do)
And his sets definately have an investment aspect to them and have always* sold well.

I don’t think Tim is producing many pipes nowadays..I know he has been focusing on his playing rather than making. Isn’t his waiting list closed?

Yes. His waiting list is closed. He’s most certainly concentrating on performance these days. He’s also very willing to help people. Or at least that’s the experience I’ve had.

I don’t own a set of Tim’s pipes, but when i called him for advice and to make a small order, I was treated as though I was making a major purchase. I was impressed with his willingness to help. Which is the case with most people i have contacted in the piping community.
