Three Cheers for Dale!

I just popped in on the whistle board after a very long abscence and lo..what do I find?

Whistle topics! :astonished:

It was an amazing experience. I long ago grew weary of all the OT garp and was spending all my time on the flute board (where people talk about flutes of all things).

Dale, this Pub board is a great idea. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work. The whistle board is back and I’m lovin’ it.

Also we now have a safe place to discuss all of our OT nonsense without feeling guilty about it.

Thanks again Dale.

Doc

…And then you head straight over to the OT board, to gawk and throw peanuts :stuck_out_tongue:

…and then you wander over to the Pub and start On-Topic threads!

I still liked it the ā€œold way.ā€

However, I’m always good for cheers for Dale!

Tom

Excellent analogy.

I like the monkeys in their cage so I can go and visit and throw peanuts when I’m so inclined. I don’t want them running around my house messing with my whistles.

Oops, sorry. I’ll try to refrain from using the ā€œWā€ word over here. Fair’s fair after all. :stuck_out_tongue:

And now by way of redeeming myself, I’m sure God has a belly button.

Doc

And here: cheer cheer cheer cheer cheer cheer are some cheers for Alan and rich, too.

But the thing is…I only occasionally hang out in the actual whistle forum, and I feel kind of sluggardly in that respect. I diddle my whistles on a daily basis, but I rarely feel that I have something trenchant or even superfluous to say about whistles on a daily basis. Sure, it’s the first place I’ll go if a question occurs to me, or whoa sets in and I want a review…but I really don’t need to discuss the nuances of whistles all the time. I’m really more here for the camaraderie, and I kind of miss the slight feeling of meaningfulness I get from having the whistle stuff mixed in with the fluff.

Yes. Same here.

I spend as much time reading the forum as ever, but I don’t post much. But
I’m spending a good bit of it in the flute forum, researching posts, like I did when I started whistle.

Sometimes I read the flute forum, too, but I rarely post over there. I have a flute but I hardly play it and I never have anything to say.

Yay Dale!

That’s It! Finally, articulated in a way I could not.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Tom
