In the next couple of days I will be making an very, very big career decision. I’ll let you know the details when it’s all over. In the meantime, I’d be weirdly comforted by knowing people are doing that thing people do when they pray for /think about/send-out-good-vibes. I figure it’s all good and I’m not even sure I recognize the difference. Know what I mean?

Yes, Bloomie, that’s true. The annoying thing is that sometimes I feel like the ghost of my Great-Grandmother lives next to my inner light switch flicking it off to save power just as I’m beginning to enjoy the glow.

(Come to think of it, I prayed for a girl named Patti in 1977, and I got her, too, but that didn’t work out at all well, so yes, it’s probably for the best that I just say “Over the top and the best of luck to you, laddy buck.”)
