…A desperate request to well wishers and friends…well..anyone really!
If you know mw, you know things have been tough, but I’m heading in to see another specialist today with some scheduled tests and MRI’s. We’re literally about to lose the farm and the Dr. is using words like immobilization and the hideous S-word (surgery). To add insult to injury I screwed up 6 fipples and a chanter this week and I’m just heartbroken about it.
I am reminded of when Job, contemplating the many things that had been going wrong for him, finally threw his hands up in despair and asked God why He was picking on him, and God replied, “Sorry, Job, but something about you just browns me off.”
Its a true story and you can take that to the bank. I hope it gave you a smile, anyway, and that things start getting better for you.
I’ll be sending positive thoughts right away. It sure sounds like everything is going wrong at the same time and what a strain that must be! I hope that you will see the light at the end of the tunnel before too long.
I’m so sorry to hear that things aren’t getting better. You’re recovery has been in my thoughts and will continue to be in this difficult time for you and your family.
Hang in there buddy, things are bound to look up. If the docs are saying surgery, perhaps this surgery will work. Keep us apprised of developments. You know you have friends here.
Hey…I didn’t mean to be “controversial” by bringing up religion and all, but BOY OH BOY do I need prayers.
Well. My PHYSICAL therapist had thrown in the towel and nearly decked the surgeon who bullied me into an unnecessary surgery. My new Dr. (who I actually DO* respect..for now) has me scheduled for another MRI on friday. Ugh…he’s going all out on the MRI..it’ll be a nice 4-5 hours (ouch). I’m looking at a combination of tendonitis in the biceps, severe cramping in the forearms (I forget the dr. language for that), tearing of the connective tissues in the forearm/bicep muscles, severe scar tissue and trauma, nerve adhesion, muscular atrophy and ultimately some sort of spinal issues. Of course, Dr. Smartaleck had to add that I need to lose about 50 pounds and ELIMINATE STRESS!
Thanks everybody, I really needed the supportive “attaboys”
I’m doing my best to keep a stiff upper lip, but I’m not British and it gets pretty lonely in the shop. Thanks again guys…
There’s a lot of good things that doctors can do today.
MRI’s and more tests help them in thier decison making to get you well again.
Please keep us informed of your progress; you are in our prayers… Ed
