thoughts and prayers

Friends, I’d like your thoughts and prayers. I’m suddenly finding myself going through exacerbatingly difficult and painful personal crises. I can’t say more without violating some of the new rules, so I’d just like to ask for prayers and thoughts. hugs

Done! And good luck to you.

Good luck, Cran, whatver it is.

And even better than good luck, make your own luck by exercising good judgment.

of course - and if you need an “ear” - you know where to find me…

Gi’e them Laldy, Cran!

ok

Good Luck and Happy Halloween!

You have my best thoughts and wishes, as always, Cran. These hard times will define you–more than the good times, I feel–and I know you will come through with grace and understanding.

Carol

As always Cran. You’ll continue to be in my thoughts prayers etc.

Consider yourself hugged.

Jennie

Positive thoughts have been sent. Best wishes.

Hang in there Bro.

All things pass..eventually.

Slan,
D.

Cheers mate.

But sometimes laser surgery speeds the process along.

so we’re ruling out kidney stones?

Cran, of course…

Dunno about that Bro,

Spectacles work fine for me

Slan,
D.

Hang in there, buddy!

I just sent you a rather lengthy PM regarding our previous discussion about mission work. Feel free to disregard it until things calm down.

In the meantime, read Romans 5:3-5 and take it to heart. And I will certainly be praying for you.

Tom

Snow in May

There’s nothing like spring in the Popo Agie valley–
the grass greening up as the rivers run high.
My heart gets as light as the song of the meadowlark
waking me up at the morning’s first light.

Sometimes Old Man Winter don’t give up that easy–
the temerature drops as the wind starts to blow
and before dawn can come all the green joy of springtime
is burried in the dead white of winter’s worst snow.

But nothing stays the same–
the sun shines, the wind blows, the night turns to day.
and snow that falls in May
leaves the grass greener when it melts away.

Just when I think things are going my way–
happy and healthy, playing my part,
sharing what wisdom the good Lord has given me,
singing the songs that are loud in my heart

Like a storm off the mountain, the hard times come down
showing the world just how little I know.
It’s hard to admit I’ve got so much to learn
when all my fine wisdom gets lost in the snow.

Nothing stays the same–
the sun shines, the wind blows, the night turns to day.
Snow that falls in May
just leaves the grass greener when it melts away.

Keep your head high when you hit those hard times.
Those bring endurance and prove who you are,
and the proof gives you hope, which does not come up empty
since the Love of our God is poured out in your heart.

Because nothing stays the same–
the sun shines, the wind blows, the night turns to day.
Snow that falls in May
just leaves the grass greener when it melts away.

Absolutely, Cran.

Can you supply more information as to the magnitude of the crises? Are these daily, average, run-of-the-mill, mundane crises, or are these Special Crises of Impending Doom? I ask because it makes a difference in how the thoughts and prayers are evaluated as they wend their way heavenward.

Prayers for Special Crises of Impending Doom are given preference and are evaluated based on an inverse relationship between the sum of the magnitudes of each individual crisis (X) divided by the carat standing of the supplicant (y) taken to the power of the number of individual crises being submitted(Z), the resulting equation being X/(y^Z). As you can see, the more crises being submitted, the more the rating of the supplication is watered down.

Supplications for daily, average, run-of-the-mill, mundane crises, on the other hand, are rated by bulk, the rate per hundredweight being determined by a free-market index based on the daily total volume worldwide. Needless to say, as we approach election day, total volume has increased and the bulk rate is down right now. If these are daily, average, run-of-the-mill, mundane crises, you might want to hold them until after Christmas, when we anticipate a better market.

I’ll say a prayer or two for ya.
