I just wanted to say what a great bunch of people you all are. I’ve never seen a communtiy like this before, and I am very glad to have joined. Not only have so many of you been great in helping me to choose a couple of whistles, but one of you even sent me some music in the mail (I was pretty touched by that). That’s all I wanted to say.
Oh yeah, one other thing, I’m going to the Lunasa concert in Bellingham, thanks for the tip!
I just got my copy of the Lunasa tunebook in the mail last night…nice to have something to double check my transcriptions!
And fun to have the other tunes I hadnt gotten to yet.
Lunasa is actually here in Florida on FEb 28th ! Going with fellow Chiffie Sunshinesdaughter…really looking forward to it!
Welcome aboard, Catherine! Most of us are fairly well adjusted, and if that Loren guy ever gives you a hard time, just let me know. My kung fu has shown him a thing or two in the past, and with but a word from you I’ll make sure he wont know what hit him!

Dazed, I don’t think she was referring to you when she was talking about the “great bunch of people” here. ![]()

Now, Wizzy: Everybody know that I am not cute. And according to an old fish monger’s wife on the Firth of Forth I am “the blaaack sheep in the faaamily.”
But Stacey: That artwork in your sig, is that Linda’s? I met Leo two years ago in a couple of sessions in NYC. What a great guy. That was the first time I saw a Sindt, and he let me try it. What a great player.

In my too-many years of being on many many lists, boards and newsgroups, I’ve learned that the more specialized a group is, the higher-quality it is. Partly due to a focused common interest, and partly due to the group size not being so large that the “personal” sense of community is lost. Also important is a moderator that keeps a step back until absolutely necessary, but when necessary jumps in with appropriate force.
Have a great time at the Lunasa concert. I’m quite disappointed that they’re not coming in this direction this time. ![]()

Oh, I don’t know, Bloo, I’ve been told that many of my personalities are in fact quite pleasant.

Yes top marks, It was a little group of muse’os that Linda had made at Fiddle 2,000
my stand was next to hers and I snaped the photie, and we use it on our web site with Linda’s blessing right enough.
Yes Leo is a great guy 3 times Irish champ I think.
Last weekend he went off with one of my latest Soprano D’s after falling for it, he said{its a great wee whistle}which from Leo is high praise indeed.
