The Tailors Twist Hornpipe

Hello Friends.
In earlier times I seltdom playde instrumentals like hornpipes and reels et cetera farer ,but now i try to learn some hornpipes I enjoy (In earlier times i just playde the tinwhistle as an effect instrument to give the songs the melody ).
Last weeks I tried the Showmans Fancy and it works but its hard,
and now I search for the notes of a hornpipe I heared from John Shehan callde the Tailors twist .
Has anyone of you the notes for this hornpipe???
greetings,Julian

I came across this tune for the fisrt time only last week, in the Mel Bay’s Complete Irish Fidder (or something like that) by Pete Cooper.

I’ll ABC it for you tonight. I think it’s subtly different from DJM’s version

You could try Micks site, there are written notes and an mp3 sound file http://fingertrip.net/whistle/index.html

That’s lovely, both tune and playing. Ought to sound good on flute, too.

THx for those which helped me ,twas a great sign of helping under mates, thats one of the reason I love this page and forum
