The "I'm in college" Sale! (In the home stretch!)

Alright, here’s the deal. As the thread title suggests, college has robbed me of my whistle luxury. I also have begun playing flute, and I’ve started into a few other hobbies that make my whistle collection seems frivolous. The truth is, I only play a handful of whistles, and these that I’m selling are not among them, no matter how wonderful they may be. I’m not in a hurry to get rid of these, so my prices aren’t “bargain bin” rates, but all of these whistles are in pristine condition except where noted.

–Shaw A. Conical bore, wooden block. Surprisingly nice whistle. $55. ($73 new)

–Tipple PVC flute in G. Okay, not a whistle, but I’m selling it. Comes with a purple drawstring bag and a swab. This is the flute I started on. $40. ($50 new)

ALL REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED.

I will pay for shipping up to 10 dollars on all of these. Buyer covers the difference.

I do take paypal, if you’d like. Please contact me through e-mail or PM.

The Chieftain is sold, pending payment.

I’m buying the Rose. Heh heh… eat your heart out, Loren.
Dave

The Rose is now sold, pending payment.

THE BURKE IS NO LONGER SPOKEN FOR. It is now for sale again.

All of the Susatos are spoken for, as well.

I’m immune Dave - if you’d told me you just bought a South Bend Heavy 10, in pristine condition, for $300. then I’d be irritated

I had 3 Rose whistles at one point in time: Blackwood, Boxwood, and Rosewood. One of those was a really killer whistle that I sold to someone in…California I think? I’d love to have that one back, the others I can live without, although all of Fred’s whistles that I’ve run across have been quite nice. They are a bit different than the whistles you usually like, so I’ll be interested to hear how you get on with it.

Loren

Good luck with college mate!

I’m anticipating it will be something like the O’Riordan I had… very pure and a tad on the finicky side at times…what was your experience, Loren? Three Roses? Holy cow, what did you do, raid the poor blokes shop or something? …a Heavy 10, how does one play it? Ohhhh… I get it, a lathe! Kewl… are you gonna join the dark side? Looooren… Pat O’Riordan is actually your father!!! (sound of mechanical breathing)

Yeah, but do you have one of THESE!!!

Didn’t think so!!!

I am not Loren, but I will tell you that I sold my O’Riordan c/d traveler set because of Mr. Rose’s whistles. I first had a blackwood one that took all my playing time away from the afore mentioned set. I then discovered that Fred had one billet of Pink Ivory that was turned into the whistle above. Once I got that I sold the blackwood one.

The Rose is not quite as pure as the O’Riordan and not nearly as finicky. The O’s were so pure that my wife had to cover her ears on many of the high notes. She does not do that with the Rose.

Enjoy.

Bump.

OP has been updated to reflect my current offerings.

Re-bump.

One last bump. No one wants the Burke?

can’t afford the Burke right now or yes I would hehehe. When my fiance finds out about the Syn’s she is liable to get a bit miffed at me for a few minutes at least  I will just say well we all our syner’s anyway

Still got the Burke? Interested. Check your PM.
