Mark Hillman has put a Taylor 3/4 set up for sale on Uilleann Obsession for the princely sum of $16k (£8150) 
stating that it is in need of restoration.
After scratching my head and adding up the prices, the asking price of that set is about £40 ($80) more than my total spend on my uilleann collection 
I wonder how long it will take to sell the set??

I don’t doubt the set will sell eventually, even at such a price. I’d be more curious as to how long it takes to sell. Maybe someone will win the lottery.

It’s a shame that Imagestation closed down. David Quinn had posted some very nice photos of the Taylor chanter. Has he reposted them anywhere else?
I think they’re on his Pipes and Pipemaking CD-ROM.

From memory, the chanter with this set doesn’t have ribbon keys. I could be mistaken.
No, it’s block mounted. I saved the pics and emailed 'em to PDarcy so expect them to be added momentarily.
Also the chanter shown in the photos for the advert is one Mark made himself.

Great set…16,000 isn’t an unreasonable price. Think about it…how many people out there have car loans for AT LEAST that much. Go to the bank, take a loan out for a “recreational vehicle”…rates are great right now. A smattering of years and easy payments (relatively) and you join the taylor fraternity!
