Sweetheart High-D whistle/fife combo

Hello, all. I’ve been lurking for awhile, and thoroughly enjoy everything about this hangout. I’m primarily an oldtime banjo and mandolin player, but have played cheap whistles for about twenty years as a sideline, being convinced that “expensive whistle” was an oxymoron.

Well, I’m ready to post now. I just came home to my new Sweetheart set, (ordered on a whim), and I just really had no idea a whistle could sound and feel this good. I’m flabbergasted! Granted, I’ve never played a Copeland, Abel, Syn, Thin Weasel, etc… But, boy, was I wrong to be so closed-minded about higher-end stuff! This is wonderful!

The reviews on this site were extremely helpful, and I can say that the mild criticisms I read, (slight pastey smell, etc…), are NOTHING to worry about with this whistle. Also, it’s loud, but not shrill or annoying. I love everything about it, and had to share the word. Fifers will enjoy this too. Plays easy and sounds GREAT! Wow!!

Ralph and Walt, it’s a winner! Don’t change a thing!

Yeah, for the money you really can’t go wrong. I’d buy one myself, but I have a lot of wooden whistles already…
Now, you need the Low D-- I do have one of those and it’s wonderful
