Feakle weekend around 20/21 aug usually has fluteclasses on the friday/saturday, Catherine McEvoy most years I think.
irish fest summer school in milwaukee is really fun. i went one year, and i took flute, whistle, concertina and tune sharing. noel hill’s midwest concertina camp is the same week, so unfortunately i havent gotten around to going again. i met a lot of great people, many of whom i am still friends with. the link is http://irishfest.com/summerschool/index.htm
others here will probably know of more intensive camps, but i dont really have the time or money to go to more than one camp a year, and since i need more work on the concertina, i choose concertina camp.
i highly recommend playing the flute on a street corner of your hometown. you will get plenty of advice about your technique and all kinds of stuff.
