I am selling my Slovakian gajdy to pay for my trip to Saint Chartier this July

Having a stall at St Chartier in close proximity to gaita makers I can assure you that he is not playing fast - this is normal speed for a lot of Gaita players
It must be an amazing place to go if you are going to sell your pipes to fund the visit. However how much of it is for the dedicated uilleann piper ?
There are usually a few pipemakers at the festival, and a lot more pipers. As well as the nightly session in the local (only!) pub in the village there are impromptu concerts dotted around all over the site with pipers, fiddlers et al. For a pan-European festival there is a surprisingly large amount of Irish music played.
Last year we were particularly impressed with an early morning duel between the GHB maker and a group of Gaita players.
