Six-key flageolet on eBay

For those of you who’ve wondered about keyed whistles in the past, here’s an auction for you:

It’s a flageolet, so it’s conceptually a whistle. Probably plays in Bb given the length.
But look, six holes, six keys, and a fipple!

Bears a passing resemblance to a clarinet or oboe, so it would suit someone familiar with one of those instruments.

I used to play a clarinet, and yea it looks like a small wierdo clarinet.

Very strange…

That’s not a reed, though, it’s a mouthpiece with a fipple below it. This is as close as we’re going to get to a keyed whistle, I think.

I’m tempted. If it was in D, I’d be even more tempted.
