Silkstone G/A

I am considering purchase of these whistles. A search of the board didn’t find much in the way of comment. Does anyone have this set and what do you think of them?

-I’ve not played the Silkstone G/A, just the Alloy D+, which is great.
The G/A whistles are plastic and likely sound different
than alloy. I only know the G/A from board comments, but have a plastic Water Weasel G-a gem of tuning, timbre and playability, so plastic can be superb. Quality isn’t a problem with Silkstones, so the only question, IMHO, is whether the sound is for you or not. Moreover, the Silkstone G/A can be had in red or British Racing Green! Good luck wih your decision-

I’ve had a Silkstone G/A set in British Racing Green for well over a year now.
I don’t have any other G or A whistles to compare against, and that says a lot about how happy I am with the Silkstone set… otherwise I’d have bought more G and A whistles by now.
Paul Hayward is a very talented whistle maker, and his whistles are high quality instruments.
Being a whistle maker myself, I appreciate the genius that went into the Silkstone head design’s tapered windway… Paul is a wizard with a lathe.
I don’t think anyone would regret buying a Silkstone G/A set, or any of Paul’s fine whistles… I’m itching to try one of his new ‘Ace’ models myself.

I’ve been eyeing the new ace myself. But,alas, I have to buy others first..Next up is a Rose..after the Silkstones that is…
