May be heading out for a trip there in the next couple of months or so. Anything in the area that shouldn’t be missed? Did a quick check on sessioneer and the session, but no hits there.

Boy, I think it’s gone. Thre was a club on the East side that used to have Wednesday night sessions. I can’t find it anymore
There is a place in Akron, if you’re going to be down that far. The Hibernian Club plays on Wednesday nights. Let me know if tha will work for you and I’ll get you the info. But it’s a good hour from Cleveland downtown.
It sounds like my trip will likely involve staying mostly in Cleveland proper and the immediate area. Know of any decent pubs that should not be missed at the very least? 
It turns out that Im mistaken about the place I used to think had Wednesday sessions, unless you want to drive to Chicago.
I don’t know of any sessions near downtown.
This is the only one I know of, but I’ve never been there.
I have never been to these sessions so I would recommend that you check their websites to confirm them.

Sullivan’s Irish Pub, Wednesdays.
The first two are about 5 minutes driving from downtown. The third is around 15-20 minutes from downtown. Good luck and let us know how you fare.
