A bit of crossposting through the relevant forums:

I just received a letter from Sibeal in Dingle who have produced a series of documentaries for TG4 about a number of musicians. The following will be featured on the dates below in the Se mo Laoch series Sunday nights at 10 pm with a repeat the following Tuesday at 8 pm:

8-10 Kitty Hayes (which will include Brid O Donohue, Claire Keville, Dympna O Sullivan, myself and others. It was filmed at Kitty’s home, at my place and the Crosses of Annagh. A lovely film well worth seeing)

15-10 Roger Sherlock
22-10 Sarah Ann ONeill
29-10 Con Curtin
5-11 Paddy Moloney
12-11 Eoini and Danny Mhaidhi O Suilleabhain

TG4 programmes can be watched through TG4 Webtv.

That was absolutely beautiful. So much was conveyed in a short time. A very moving piece of work, with music that stays in your bloodstream.

I looked like an eejit, never realised I talk with my hands when I get going. They did a lovely job telling the story, everybody was very happy. Ironically I wasn’t able to watch it today (saw the previews) as the hills block the signal from TG4, even thinking of watching it on the web isn’t an option either.

There’s a repeat on tuesday 8 pm local time.

Great show..mighty crack. Respect abounds.

On a side note…I reckon that if Carol is familiar with expressions like “eejit” she has crossed over to the Dark side.

Thanks very much for the heads-up, Peter; that was 1/2 hour well-spent for me.

If anyone else has trouble getting the archive link to work, select “Ceol” from the left-hand menu, then look for the program in the list.

Very nice documentary and a powerful message too. I have 2 children and a full time job and often think I have no/not enough time to play music - food for thought there. In any case, music should be part of every day life - it makes the sh1tty bits bearable :slight_smile:
