Scottish Pastoral Pipes for Sale

NEW SCOTTISH PASTORAL PIPES FOR SALE. Pipes were made in England by Christopher Bayley. SPECIAL NOTES: Remove the foot joint to play as uilleann pipes. Chanter has two modes: First Mode = D; Second Mode = G. Four drones: Bass D, Baritone D, tenor G and tenor A. Chanter is like GHB, scaled between D and E-Flat. Minor 9th on the bottom. Roughly plays like the GHB scale. With the proper reed, can play two octaves/registers. Received the pipes in NH in October 2009 and had them inspected and assessed by pipemaker Bruce Childress of Kennebunk, Maine. Per Bruce the pipes were made with excellent craftsmanship and the bellows are “Perfect! Awesome!” Reason for selling: The pipes were purchased by and were supposed to be shipped to my late husband 11 years ago and I do not play the pipes. Bruce Childress suggested $5000 as the selling price. I am asking for $4000.
