Just noticed two new Rudalls {well one Rudall and one Wylde from Rudall and Rose}
in Hobgolin’s used page in addition to the boxwood one thats been there forever.
I don’t think they’ve been mentioned before. And a Prowse:

if the URL has a blank in it ya need to put the tags around it ![]()

the Wylde seems very similar to mine, which is a great flute.
Steep prices.
Are they? They seemed quite reasonable to me. Mind, I’m probably looking for nice high market prices for these things. ![]()
3200 sterling for a Prowse? Not really…the Rudall prices might be ok if the flutes are good. But I’ve seen nice Prowses going for far less than that.
Steffen you didn’t tell us what flute you got…
Beware there are people in Manchester who have the habit of stamping Rudall onto flutes that ain’t! (I know cos I bought one!) The late lamented Andrew Kirby told me the name of the probable culprit, but I’d best keep that to myself. So I would advise to check provenance especially carefully.
The boxwood Rudall looks beautiful… quite proabably (if it’s genuine) an early one.
I’m sure this question has been asked: how do people find boxwood flutes for playing Irish music?
Rudalls in your Hobgoblin are far preferable to Hobgoblins in your Rudall. Just thought you should know that. Carry on.
