Rich, can the search function be fixed?

Hi, Rich.

As always, thanks ever so much for providing the environment to carry on this community that’s so important to many.

I wanted to ask if you know of any way to improve the workings of the search function. Since the upgrade, it hasn’t been working very well. I just did a search for “Dallas Skies” and came up with no hits, nor for “Dallas” nor for “Skies.” Then I searched for all posts by the author of that post, and after sifting through three or so pages of posts, found the one I was looking for, the title of which is, “Dallas Skies … .”

Thanks again, and best wishes,
Jerry

Ditto. Even knowing who the author was, it still came up with a load of junk totally unrelated to the tune or the author.

cheers!

Ditto. I did a search to resurrect the “tinwhistler’s day jobs” thread and got no hits at all. Then I did one for "day jobs"and got numerous hits, the very last of which was “tinwhistler’s day jobs,” oddly enough. It’s almost more trouble than it’s worth to do a search.

Does this mean people will stop telling newbies to do a search when they ask an oft asked question?

I don’t have the answer to that Larry, you’ll have to do a search.

Sounds vaguely like George Carlin humor to me.
