I haven’t gotten to the point of learning about reeds, but I would like to say that the links in the Entertainment section are great. The Empire That Was Russia I have visited before and it is a once in a lifetime chance to see a world that no longer exists. 365 Days will keep me busy for a long time—truly I am looking forward to exploring these treasures. And Something Awful, well what do I find staring me in the face?

Okay, sorry, back to the fine presentation on REED MAKING.
Something Awful, while always living up to its name, is most days rather funny. I like it, anyway.
With all due respect, perhaps this is the C&F culture that Peter Laban is referring to in the Migration thread.
One of the best reed makers produces a new site, and on the third post we are already on SomethingAwful.com.
I am guilty of often going off thread myself, and Peter’s comments have made me think twice about posting randomly in the instrument threads.
Please post replies to the Migration forum.

I strongly urge that those just starting out in reed making visit this site and avail themselves of the wisdom there. Alan is a world class reed maker, and folks would do well following his thoughts on the matter.
