Received my Burke brass session D today !

What can I say that has not already been said ? A stunning looking quality whistle which plays like nothing else I have. I will never need another whistle, apart of course from more Burkes in different keys.
Story : I have always wanted a Burke but never been able to afford one. A few weeks ago I paid one of my frequent visits to Glastonbury. There was a street busker, Tim, playing a Burke. This was the first time that I had seen or heard a real live Burke. Tim was more than impressed that I knew what instrument he was playing, and readily handed me the whistle and invited me to play. That was it, I was sold. Damn the expense (not really expensive given the quality), I went home and ordered that night.
Tim, if you are a visitor to this forum, I am forever in your debt. I will be back in Glastonbury next month, if it ever stops raining ! I will bring my Burke.
I am off to see Lunasa at Basingstoke next week. I have half a mind to take my Burke and offer Kevin Crawford a go. My only worry is that he would not give it back !

Congrats! My next purchase will definitley be a Burke.

I got to try a couple Burkes at the local flute store some weeks ago. I have to admit, pretty nice! Easy to play.

You have a “local flute store”??? :open_mouth:

That’s an interesting neighborhood!!!

Best wishes.
