Ah . . . my Burke is here :-)

Bought it used from someone else on the board and I’ve been playing it pretty much since it arrived. The more time I spend with it, the more I like it. I see what people mean about it’s looking a bit like a machine, but I like the way it feels and sounds. I had to sell a flute and another whistle to pay for it – I’m glad I did!

I see that I’m not doing a nice clear review here. Guess I just want to gush a bit. And I know there are plenty of Burke reviews in the archives.

Thanks to everyone who’s described Burkes and spoken so well of them. I’m happy. And will be offline the rest of the evening, I think

I’ve had my burkes for a while now…and I still haven’t put them back down for my previously-beloved silkstones yet… They’re very nice instruments.

Which model did you get? I picked up a used AlPro D for Christmas, and haven’t had much time to play it. Hopefully I will soon.

p.s. I think Burke whistles looks great, by the way.

Hello,

I have a brass pro, and its great. I am unsure about what people mean by the look of the whistle…I think they look nice and have graceful lines. Besides a great sound and playablity, clogging does not happen very often.

I got the Brass Pro D. I’m taking it to visit my father-in-law this weekend – don’t want to part with it for that long .
