There will be a special preview at the Crosses of Annagh on july 5th, 1700hrs of a documentary on the Life and Music of concertinaplayer Kitty Hayes from Shanaway, Miltown Malbay. The program was commissioned by TG4 and made by Breandan Begley and Nuala O Connor for Sibeal productions. It’s part of TG4’s Se mo Laoch series
I just saw the program and it just came out lovely. Musicians in the programme are Brid O Donohue, Dympna O Sullivan, Claire Keville, Quentin Cooper, Eoin O’Neill and yours truely. With talking parts for some of Kitty’s daughters, Tom Munnelly, Tim Dennehy and Edel Fox.
A fine tribute to a lovely person and musician. The film will be broadcast by TG4 in two parts during the autumn .
