Preshaw C 1/2 set for sale

Hi gang,

I’ve decided to sell my Preshaw C 1/2 set. I’m loving the sound but I think, realistically, I’m going to need a D set and I’m not really in a position to maintain two sets of pipes.

Here are the photos.

Good flutes, whistles or pipes are the same as cash to me (I know this guy that can sell them for me :wink: ). :slight_smile:

I thought about that but I think if I’m going to have drones I’ll get more mileage out of a set of D drones.

I’m also finding the learning curve with drones to be steeper than the curve without them woud be. I think a good D practice set will keep me busy or a long time. :slight_smile:

Besides, with 13 kids there’s always somebody that can drone on the concertina while I’m playing. :laughing:

I’ve been piping only a few weeks and people are actually starting not to leave the room when I break them out. :laughing:

I’ve got to agree with BigDavy on this one. You’ll regret getting rid of the C set. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow … sorry, flashbacks again

However, you seem to have made up your mind, so good luck with the sale.

By the way, any chance of hearing a soundclip of the Jones Family Band?

Doc, where were you 9 months ago when I plunked down a deposit for a C set with a maker? Murphy’s Law I suppose. No one is selling when one is ready to buy :slight_smile:

I agree with the others there Doc, you will regret this move. Just get a D chanter for playing with other instruments and stay in the C lane. Anyway, looks like a lovely instrument for someone ready to pounce on a ready made C set.

By the way, thank God it is spring in the northern hemisphere. My reed is playing so well it’s miraculous. It’s got that nice vibration coming off it now which generally indicates a properly functioning reed. Alright . . .
