Looks like a set by the master uilleann pipe makers in Pakistan again.

Namaste,

Patrick.

Without a shadow of a doubt they are!

Beautiful blue light glowing off the white plastic!

Yes, I somehow feel…well…all squiggley just looking at it.

From the description section at the e-bay link:

“This set of pipes was made by Rhythm Industries in Pakistan.”

Yep, I’d say that removes all doubt about where they’re made.

And note that the seller really put a lot of commentary on the construction of the bag… “The bag is leather lined on the inside, surrounded by a plastic sheath and a linen lining.”

The first time I saw a set of these Pakistani-made UPs, (an acquaintance had bought them from Lark in the Morning, poor fellow), I was aghast at what passed for the bag construction… .the “plastic sheath” was nothing more than a very flimsy plastic - about the gauge thickness you’d find on a protective bag at the dry cleaners… and the “linen lining” was a very thin, almost cheese-cloth material. Together, these were wrapped around a very stiff leather (or “PLEATHER” - plastic leather, I call it) bag, and then stapled with a standard office stapler at the bottom of the bag.

Yikes.

And a $50 opening bid.
And hey - could that “yarn fringe” be any longer?

In the words of Monty Python (Holy Grail):

RUN AWAY! RUN AWAY!

Yes, I somehow feel…well…all squiggley just looking at it.

Joseph, I thought you had one of those Pakistani- made Kirk Lynch knockoffs.
Rick

…Hence the ‘squiggley’ feeling.
