Unfortunately circumstances that have arisen means I need to sell my practice set of uilleann pipes, made by Andy Faden of Bedford.
The chanter is made from ebony and brass with a C natural key and is just less than 2 years old.The bag is an L & M bag and is completely airtight, while the bellows were made by the supplier to the late Dave Williams, both were purchased earlier this year .
Andy, an engineer by trade, learned his craft from Cillian O’Briain and his chanter is a direct copy of the O’Briain markk VII. Ben Walker ( http://www.benwalker.org/ ) played on it and said it was every bit as good as his own older O’Briain chanter.
This set is therefore not a cheap starter set but one for the serious piper, indeed the set is on Andy’s waiting list to be upgraded to a half/full set.
There is a small scratch on the ebony chanter top which I have tried to capture in one of the pictures, other than that the set is in excellent condition and comes complete with a spare reed made by Andy himself and a leather popping strap.
Please feel free to pm me and ask any questions or come and see and have a play
