Pipe Maker's websites

Pipe Maker’s websitesIs anyone aware of current websites for these makers? I know many may not have a site at all, but it never hurts to check as sometimes they can be fairly obscure! I know I can try Googling, but a lack of time this morning make sthat prohibative. Just wondering if any of you know of some of these right off, or if you happen to have them saved in your favorites menus.

these are all recent web addresses:

Hughes & McLeod

This last one is sort of “second hand,” a retailer selling his whistles has an information page on Cillian, with photo and biography, but no contact information.

Keith Powell doesn’t have a web site, and last I heard 2003 he doesn’t make chanters any more, although he may have a couple left over from his pipemaking days. Keith plays a Rogge set

There’s an interesting and informative site concerning Alain Froment at:
http://www.antondavila.com/froment.htm

Thomas is there a link or menu associated with that page? Other than the two pictures and “Alain Froment is without a doubt the best Irish pipes maker” in 3 languages I didn’t see any other selections. My pop-up windows are blocked… is there something else?

My guess is…no.

http://www.antondavila.com/

Lorenzo, I had already perused his website. Something in the website design (probably flash) makes it open full-screen but my browser (Netscrape) indicates something else needed to load, but it wasn’t going past that point. I sometimes get errors when cookies or pop-ups come into play.
Just checking to see if there was more on that page I wasn’t able to see.

The homepage does open with a slide show, but it does have the menu – seven categories:

inicio | novas | fotos | biografía | instrumentos | enlaces | correo

Thomas linked that photo from this page: http://www.antondavila.com/fotos.htm

what would mr. froment do with a website if he had one? its not like he needs to tell everyone about the 3 sets he has sitting on the shelf ready for one of us to purchase:). a website is a marketing tool, and some of these guys are just no longer in the marketing phase of their lives.

Thanks all for the links.
